Pressure Sand Filter (PSF)
The Pressure Sand Filter (PSF) is a high-performance filtration system designed to remove suspended solids, turbidity, dirt, and fine impurities from raw water. It uses a multi-layer sand bed inside a pressure vessel, ensuring efficient depth filtration and consistent output quality.

Functionality
The filter operates by passing raw water under pressure through layers of graded sand and supporting gravel. Suspended particles are trapped within the sand bed, while clear water flows out.
As impurities build up, the pressure drop increases across the bed. At this stage, the system undergoes backwashing, where water flows in reverse to flush out the trapped contaminants, restoring filter efficiency and performance.
