Demineralization (DM) Plant

A Demineralization (DM) Plant is designed to produce high-purity water by removing dissolved salts, minerals, and impurities through the ion exchange process. This process ensures water free from dissolved solids (TDS), making it suitable for critical applications in boilers, pharmaceuticals, textiles, power plants, and laboratories.

At Venza Water, our DM plants are engineered with cation exchange, anion exchange, and mixed-bed polishing units to deliver ultrapure, mineral-free water that meets the stringent requirements of industrial and commercial users.

01

Functionality

The DM process uses strong acid cation (SAC) and strong base anion (SBA) resins to exchange unwanted ions:

  1. Cation Exchange Unit – Replaces positive ions (Ca²⁺, Mg²⁺, Na⁺, etc.) with hydrogen (H⁺) ions.
  2. Anion Exchange Unit – Replaces negative ions (Cl⁻, SO₄²⁻, NO₃⁻, etc.) with hydroxyl (OH⁻) ions.
  3. Mixed Bed Polisher – Further polishes water to achieve ultrapure quality by combining cation and anion resins.

The result is demineralized water with very low conductivity and zero hardness.

Features

  • Produces high-purity, mineral-free water
  • Low conductivity (<1 µS/cm) and silica removal
  • Compact skid-mounted design (FRP, MS, or SS vessels)
  • Manual, semi-automatic, or fully automatic operation
  • High-capacity ion-exchange resins for long service life
  • Reliable pretreatment for boilers, RO, and critical processes
  • Cost-effective and easy to regenerate using acid & alkali
